Your guide will be responsible to ensuring that all cultural experiences and activities are carried out seamlessly, while also being a community builder along the way. ¡Hola Aventureras, I'm Selene!
I’m Selene, 32, based in México, and some of my best life decisions have involved buying a plane ticket!I’ve been working in Marketing for 9+ years, and outside of work you’ll find me traveling, practicing yoga or pilates, reading a good book with a great coffee, or out on a trail... firm believer that trips and local dishes are some of the best investments in life. I’m super proud of being Mexican and have always loved exploring here at home first, Pueblos Mágicos, hidden beaches, southern towns full of history, and it was actually in CDMX where I learned to navigate a city solo, sit with art, and truly understand how culture connects us to a place.
Wherever I go, I let the local food guide me, shop from local artists, and always come home with as many postcards as possible, honestly my biggest obsession! They’re small, easy to carry, and once you’re home you can frame them or put together an album and suddenly you’re right back in that moment. To me, travel is one of the most human things we can do. It breaks down walls, builds empathy, and reminds us that at the end of the day, we’re all more alike than we think. I'm so excited to be your MOTM Mariposa guide this 2026.

PEÑA DE BERNAL BOUTIQUE HOTEL
For this MOTM Retreat we will stay in a beloved, charming, and safe boutique hotel located in the center of Peña de Bernal (pictured below). It is literally a 5-10 minute walk to everything this pueblo mágico has to offer and is in a prime location for exploring this magical town safely. The best part of it all? Mujer on the Move blocked the entire hotel just for our group of Aventureras (women 21+). This means our small group of 8 women and our MARIPOSA guide will have the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful boutique hotel for further relaxation and safety.
