Angelica grew up in southeast Los Angeles — the second smallest city in LA County — as a first-generation Mexican-American who dreamt of seeing the world beyond her small town. After graduating from UCLA and Stanford at 23, she spent 7 years as a high school English teacher for LAUSD while traveling to México, Greece, Turkey, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Aruba. She always felt the most joy and freedom in México, her motherland.

In 2023, Angelica embarked on a solo sabbatical through various Mexican states to reconnect with her Latine culture. That journey became the seed for Mujer on the Move — a company built out of love for her cultura and a deep desire to share that same freedom and healing with other mujeres. MOTM is for every Latina and aventurera who seeks intentional, safe, joyful travel throughout LATAM.
